Asbestos-Free Ceramic Mineral Fiber | Brake Pad Reinforcement Material HB-71BL
HB-71BL Asbestos-Free Ceramic Fiber (Brake Pad Reinforcement Grade)
1. Product Overview: HB-71BL is a high-purity asbestos-free ceramic mineral fiber manufactured using an electric arc furnace melting and spinning process. Its main components are alumina (Al₂O₃) and silicon dioxide (SiO₂), exhibiting a glassy phase structure. This product is specifically designed for high-performance, environmentally friendly brake pads (NAO formulation). Its optimized fiber length (250±100μm) and diameter form a uniform three-dimensional network reinforcement structure within the friction material matrix, significantly improving the brake pad's thermal stability, anti-fading properties, and wear resistance, while ensuring environmental safety and compliance.
2. Core Advantages/Product Features
Excellent High-Temperature Resistance: Melting point approximately 1600℃, capable of withstanding temperatures above 1000℃ for extended periods, effectively preventing brake pad failure due to high temperatures during severe braking and ensuring the stability of the coefficient of friction.
Excellent Reinforcement and Wear Resistance: High fiber hardness effectively reduces wear on brake pads and mating discs, extending the service life of the braking system while improving the overall structural strength of the material.
Excellent Thermal Management: Low thermal conductivity and low heat capacity uniformly distribute frictional heat, preventing localized overheating that could lead to material decomposition or deformation, and reducing the occurrence of thermal cracks.
Environmental and Safety Compliance: Free of asbestos and harmful substances such as copper, meeting multiple safety and environmental protection standards including EU SVHC and RoHS, satisfying global market access requirements.
Lightweight and Process-Friendly: Low density helps reduce brake pad weight (reducing unsprung mass), and optimized fiber length facilitates easy dispersion in the blend, improving production efficiency.
3. Application Areas: Passenger and Commercial Vehicle Asbestos-Free Organic (NAO) Brake Pads Low-Metal Brake Pads and Ceramic Formula Brake Pads OEM and High-End Aftermarket Brake Pad Products for High Temperature Resistance, Low Noise, and Long Lifespan Requirements
4. Packaging and Storage:
Packaging: Moisture-proof composite paper bag.
Shelf life: 36 months when stored at room temperature and in a dry environment.
Storage recommendations: Store the product in a cool, dry place. Reseal as soon as possible after opening to prevent moisture absorption.
